Stan, Brian and I are on our way to the bay area. The weather is amazing and we are driving on highway 198 past Hanford, the Lemoore Naval air base and Harris Ranch. On to highway 5 a great big interstate highway that moves like lightning. After a while we pull into San Ramon and up to Crown Billiards. Super place with very nice people enjoying a mellow Saturday night. The room is filling up with players at all the tables, people at the bar and friends here to see the band. Rick Smith and Ricky are here in Rick's new car. Only 700 mile on it. Nice! The band Four and more are here, two tables enjoying a Saturday night.  Also the very talented Donna Paula! She takes great photos! Around 10pm in walks harp blues monster Tumbleweed and joins us for some power house blues! In between sets a wonderful young singer performs to backing music tracks and wows the crowd. There is a Belly dancer between sets too!
I meet up with Kevin who tells me Harrison is outside on the plaza. Wow! Harrison sent me a video after a newspaper interview I did with the San Jose Mercury newspaper. He is 17 years old and plays fantastic Blues guitar! Not old enough to get in but nice of him to stop by and ask his dad to let me know. We make plans to have Harrison join us on stage in Napa on June 28th. It will be smokin' hot guitar riffing!

Stan Hack on drums this weekend. Only his second and third shows with us. With the gear on board we are on our way to the casino. We have a new light system with us this year so it adds to the look of the show. With everything set up we meet for dinner at the food court. Soon we are into the first set of songs with a cool sound. Lots of people here tonight, looking to dance! With so many shows coming up this summer, I need to add all the new songs. We are playing songs from the new album and trying out possible cover songs too. At midnight we put the gear under wraps and make our way off the mountain. Tonight I got to visit with Suzy and her Mom from the Tule Indian tribe, super nice friends. I was amazed when they started talking about the history of the area around the 30's and 40's. Wide open land before the casino and the importance of the river in the area. Another cool friend Shawn from Visalia stopped by to say hello. Shawn is way excited to be graduating high school in June. A fun time in everyone's life!
 
Saturday at 6pm we are all on our way back to the casino. The gear all set up ready to rip into the tunes. Dinner, grab some coffee and a downbeat at 8pm. Eagle Mountain casino has a lot of very nice people working there. Everyone always says hello and they are very supportive to play your best. The band is on tonight and Stan is getting to know the show. I am playing through two Marshall cabs stacked. The cabs have old 70's green back speakers and the guitar tone is awesome. Makes me want to solo some hot riffs during the songs. At midnight we say thank you and wish everyone a great Sunday. Thank you Eagle Mountain for the chance to work this very nice casino. SAT. MARCH 3 THE BAND IS IN TEHACHAPI @ BEAR VALLEY SPRINGS COUNTRY CLUB - ROCKIN' THE BLUES IN AN AMAZING CA. LOCATION!
 
After some hot rehearsals, Stan Hack is on drums with the show. Brian Beal on Bass and we are all on our way to 5,000 feet and the Bear Valley Springs Country Club. The weather is super nice, warm and clear. We pull up and load in to this beautiful lounge that has a lot of history. The stories are of Hollywood stars and stunt people visiting this famous lounge, singing and well,  drinking! We are soon roaring into the tunes with people dancing and having fun. The staff and bar tender are very cool so things just roll along. On the break I meet some nice local people and make friends with Jeff and his wife Dianne. Beth a cool Realtor says hello and we talk about booking the band for her party she is planning. Just a fun night of music and good times. I am using an old Marshall cab and it sounds very good tonight. Stan has got the groove so the show goes well. Stan Hack had moved to Three Rivers six years ago from Southern California. We both played a lot of the same clubs in So. Ca. years ago. Nice to have that in common. Around 3am we pull up to my place and off load the gear. Fun night!

GET READY BAKERSFIELD! THE BAND WILL BE IN TOWN TUESDAY, FEB. 21ST AT PRIME CUT! 8PM - 11pm. BOOGIE - ROCKIN' BLUES - GOOD TIMES!!Back in action after a few months off recording. Looking forward to RIPPIN' on the guitar! Landon, Brian and I load the F150 with lots of gear. I'm running two four twelve cabs, two amps, I'm into it tonight. The place is packed when we pull up. I go in to locate the manager and find a way to get the gear in. The vibe is all Mardi Gras and everyone is partying! We set up and launch in to the songs, my guitar sound is cool so I'm off on a trail of riffs. After the first set, new friends that live in Bakersfield say hello. We had been in contact on Facebook so it was great to meet in person. Soon the band is back on stage with dancers and the lights adding a nice effect. One more set and that's it we are on the road back to V-Town. Feels good to be back working shows. Lots of new songs for this summer. Landon has a new country band in Bakersfield he would like to build up so this is his last gig with the show. I always enjoy traveling with Landon Wing, total pro on drums!
